100 . The principals of the Firm are
Ms. Rita Montgomery Hollie, Esq., and Thad Hollie,
Jr. Esq.
The esteemed Ms. Frankie Muse Freeman, Esq. is Of
Counsel to the firm.
Ms. Rita Montgomery Hollie was licensed as an attorney
in Missouri in 1973 and has practiced in the state
every since. Her education includes degrees from
Washington
University, BA '69, MSW '73, JD '73, and
St. Louis
University's Aquinas Institute of Theology, MA-Pastoral
Studies, 2002. Ms. Montgomery Hollie is an attorney who
specializes in family law. Her practice includes
such family law matters as adoptions and guardianships
and practice as Guardian Ad Litem whereby she
serves as the attorney for children who are involved in,
or may be impacted by, a pending legal proceeding.
Ms. Montgomery Hollie's Career has included experiences
as a Professor of Business Law at the University of
Missouri -St. Louis, one four year term as a full time Municipal Judge
for the City of St. Louis
and several shorter terms as a provisional Municipal
Judge for the City
of St. Louis, MO. Ms. Montgomery Hollie also served as
an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Missouri
from 1973 to 1974.
Mrs. Frankie Muse Freeman, Esq. is Of
Council to the Montgomery Hollie firm. She was
originally licensed as an attorney in Missouri in 1948.
She is a nationally known veteran of the Civil Rights
Movement and the Civil Rights Litigation that occurred
during the late 1950's through the early 1970's. She has
a very deep well of experience on a national level and
is
a nationally known icon of the Civil Rights struggles.
Ms. Freeman is a former member of the United States
Commission on Civil Rights, having been originally
appointed in 1964 by President Lyndon Baines Johnson.
She now concentrates her practice in the area of
probate matters.
She is by any measure, a national treasure.
Thad Hollie, Jr. has been licensed as an attorney in
Missouri since 1974 and has also practiced law in the state
every since his initial licensure. His education
includes degrees from Harvard University, BA '71 and
Washington University, JD '74. Mr. Hollie spent his
first twenty six years of practice as a corporate staff attorney
for
AT&T
(formerly Southwestern Bell Corporation) . During
his career with AT&T, Mr. Hollie handled not only
specialized telecommunications issues,
but also oversaw numerous
business transactions
including real estate purchases, and sales, urban
redevelopment and construction projects and litigation. At various
times during his career, Mr. Hollie held the titles of
Staff Attorney, Senior Attorney Litigation, and Vice
President, General Attorney, and Secretary of
Southwestern Bell Telecom. During the last
six years of his career with AT&T, Mr. Hollie held
the title General Attorney Missouri whereby he supervised
the staff of attorneys who had
state-wide responsibility for handling the general
litigation filed by and against the company in Missouri .
In 2000, Mr. Hollie left his
position as General Attorney-Missouri for AT&T Corp to join Mrs. Montgomery Hollie and Mrs. Freeman in
the private practice of law. Mr. Hollie currently
handles business organization and real estate matters and
some select litigation and probate matters.
In October of 2002, the Supreme Court of Missouri appointed
Mr. Hollie
to a six
(6) year term as a member of the Board of Law Examiners
of the State of Missouri. Mr. Hollie completed his term as a
Law Examiner on October15, 2008. |
